Creative corporate event ideas

As important as corporate events such as team-building events, product launches and conferences are, there’s no question that they can be a little on the uninspiring and generic side.

This is certainly something that we work hard to change for the businesses who use our own venue here at Château Bouffémont. But if you’re lacking ideas as to how you can spice up your corporate events, here are some that you may wish to consider.

A French chateau setting

There can surely be no environment more divorced from the typical corporate event backdrop of dull offices in an anonymous big city, than a resplendent French chateau set in resplendent grounds.

Indeed, the spectacular manicured French gardens of Château Bouffémont could be the ideal spot in which to hold an outdoor event that will lend itself to memorable photography. Even if you would prefer to keep matters indoors, our stone-built property’s refined furnishings – including crystal chandeliers and sumptuous halls and lounges – will suitably inspire your staff.

Visiting a local producer

How strong a connection does your business truly have to its locality? Do you simply hold a charity event at a nearby venue once every few years, or do your employees truly appreciate how various other people in the local area live and work?

This is where arranging for your team to visit a local brewery and vineyard can be so enjoyable and educational. If you would prefer something with a non-alcoholic theme, a farm or local market may be the ideal place for your workers to learn about the origins of local produce.

A rooftop venue

Many organisations seeking the ideal backdrop on which to hold a corporate event love the idea of a venue that gives stunning views of the surrounding area, whether that may be the centre of a bustling city or a much more rural environment.

It’s difficult to argue with such venues for sheer visual impact and uniqueness, but it should also be noted that they can be extremely expensive, especially in the most in-demand capital cities such as London.

Something sporty

Before you start to worry about the health risks to your workers who may not be accustomed to running 100-metre races, rest assured that a great sports-themed corporate event doesn’t need to involve your personnel breaking into a sweat at all.

You may choose a bar or pub, for instance, where one can play darts, which is a very sociable, fun and non-stressful sport. Alternatively, if every member of the team is happy with such a plan, you could base your event around a sport or physical activity that can be done in a leisurely way, such as golf, swimming, tennis or horse riding.

Many firms interested in holding sports-themed corporate events in France, for instance, choose Château Bouffémont on account of the priority access we can provide to the highly exclusive Paris International Golf Club, with its 18-hole course designed by the legendary Jack Nicklaus.

Satisfying your workers’ inner ‘culture vultures’

There’s one more reason why Château Bouffémont may be an especially fine choice for your next corporate event: its mere 30-kilometre distance from the centre of Paris. This means that along with some of the aforementioned features a corporate event can have, you could take your staff on a sightseeing trip through one of the most culturally rewarding global cities.

In the process, your workers may take in major museums and galleries ranging from the Louvre and Centre Georges Pompidou to such relatively unsung institutions as the Musée de l’Orangerie and Musée du quai Branly.
